These are MPEG1-only versions of older files (which hadn't been added for some reason), which also have mis-derived MPEG4 versions, due to a faulty deriver.

Do people think we should remove them until we get either fixed MPEG4s or an MPEG2 version of them? I'm quite willing to do so.

Thanks,
s!

I would just remove the mp4's. Every one that I've tried has bad audio.

OK, I've removed the MP4 versions from those recent left-over MPEG1 uploads that weren't deriving properly. This is a reasonable short-term fix. Thanks for reminding me about it, all.

Good idea :)

Shall I continue with the uploads Simon?

Sure, but only for those movies that have no details pages at all currently. If you can check with Rick to make sure these movies are meant to go online. I'll remove the MPEG4s before I approve them. Then, when I find the MPEG2s, I'll just copy those in.

[For those not in the know, Spuzz is scavenging some Prelingers that were originally digitized in 2002, but not put online properly, for whatever reason, from the ftp.archive.org site.]

Thanks!
s.
